Our offsite competitors will generally take your confidential documents away to their remote paper recycling plant. They do this by swapping your bins over, or using compactor garbage truck. A compactor truck looks like a shredding truck but is just a garbage truck. Then, before they shred, they will tip your confidential papers onto a conveyor belt and sort through them by hand!
They do this to separate out the valuable white photocopy paper from everything else. They then sell that paper for a very high price. They should be paying you to take your paper away!
At the Onsite Shredding Company, we never sort through your documents. Our policy is “don’t look, don’t touch”. We take your bin full of confidential documents straight to an onsite mobile shredding truck and shred your documents onsite before we leave.
We also recycle 100% of the paper we shred but we are primarily a security company not a recycling company. Our first priority is for your security, not getting the highest price for your paper.
